Scope of Position:
This is primarily a Marketing Assistant position using a PC computer. Responsibilities include data entry, contact management, creating mail merge documents, editing PowerPoint presentations, updating spreadsheets, emailing, printing reports, and filing in support of the Sprecher + Schuh brand. Candidates must be able to electronically edit and produce a wide variety of administrative and technical publications, including maintenance, and maintain quality control of these documents appealing to external and internal audiences. Interaction with various marketing database is required. Some vendor interaction may be required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
¿ Develop a basic understanding and working knowledge of company’s products in order to verify information for use in various data bases, customer pricing, and publications.
¿ Work with Product Managers, Pricing Manager, Marketing Specialist, the Marketing Director, and others to determine the most important information to document, edit, create and maintain regarding marketing collateral and digital information.
¿ Perform data entry and assemble new information for marketing database for use in pricing, rebate processing, contract renewals, constant contact, direct marking, collateral documentation, etc. Prepare renewal packages and perform data entry to process new contracts using Excel and JD Edwards. Act as back up for Marketing Specialist and Pricing Administrator. Maintain filing system for variety of marketing materials.
¿ Maintain marketing contact databases. Manage additions of new contacts and addresses in Access for mailing, emails and lead tracking. Invite new customers to join mailing list. Manage new subscribers to newsletters and social media sites.
¿ Manage Literature Library documentation, including data entry and upload of new documents, and editing of existing entries. Work with Marketing Specialist to update and maintain inventory of promotional materials and printed literature at vendor warehouse.
¿ Assist Marketing Specialist with maintenance of marketing content on the website, Extranet, Intranet, and B2B Web Pages in regards to preparing content and editing existing pages. Perform daily and monthly maintenance for B2B, Training and sales databases. Email monthly reports to sales managers.
¿ Manage materials for Sprecher + Schuh sales meetings, distributor trainings, company outings and other special events, such as literature, PowerPoint presentations, name tags, and welcome packets, and contact database, including mail merge for said documents in MS Word and Excel.
¿ Coordinate and distribute sample cases, including assembly and maintenance of display contents and cases. Maintain database of demo cases and displays, current inventory and locations. Update case Bills-of-Material in Excel as required.
¿ Generally, assist the marketing department with collateral, programs, promotions, pricing and other tasks as needed to support and promote the Sprecher + Schuh brand.
Position Requirements
College,   3 to 4 Years work experience
Education and experience:
• Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Technical Communications or equivalent, or five years’ professional experience
• Prefer minimum of two years’ experience in a customer service, administrative, marketing or data entry position.

Qualifications & skills:
• Must be able to show experience in many types of office documents or data entry projects.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Windows OS)
• Experience with MAC, WordPress, HTML, JD Edwards or Constant Contact is a plus but not required.

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following qualifications and skills:

Written Skills - Ability to read and interpret part numbers containing both letters and numbers, then accurately identify part numbers in a variety of documents and digital environments. Effective use of the English language including sentence structure, grammar and accuracy of spelling. Applicants must be able to write clearly and informatively.

Computer Skills – To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess a good working knowledge of a PC computer environment using Microsoft Office -PowerPoint, Excel, & Word software. Experience working with Access, JD Edwards or other database software is a plus.

Interpersonal Skills - Treats people with respect, maintains confidentiality, listens to others without interrupting, remains open to others' ideas, tries new things, keeps commitments; inspires the trust of others, works with integrity and ethically, approaches others in a tactful manner and reacts well under pressure

Mathematical Skills – Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals including the ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Oral Communication - Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, listens and gets clarification, responds well to questions, demonstrates group presentation skills and actively participates in meetings.

Project Management - Sets realistic budgets, goals and objectives, coordinates projects, communicates changes, reports progress, prioritizes and plans work activities; and completes projects on time. Prioritizes, tracks, handles, and maintains records of the elements, costs, and time schedules of multiple projects.

Teamwork - Balances team and individual responsibilities, exhibits objectivity and openness to others' views, gives and welcomes feedback, applies feedback to improve performance, contributes to building a positive team spirit, puts success of team above own interests, upholds organizational values.
