Assistant Project Manager – Heavy Civil Construction

Drive the success of complex heavy civil construction projects from kickoff to closeout. We’re looking for a decisive, detail-strong Project Manager who owns budgets, schedules, field coordination, and financial performance.

• Own the numbers: review budgets, estimates, cost codes, and financial forecasts.
• Build and maintain milestone-driven project schedules.
• Review billing, subcontractor pay apps, and documentation for accuracy.
• Flag long-lead items early and support proactive procurement.
• Keep jobs running safely and efficiently—monitor field reports and risks.
• Lead monthly cost/schedule reviews and drive corrective action when needed.
• Review changes, pricing, RFIs, and all key project correspondence.
• Oversee project closeout and ensure a clean, timely finish.

• Bachelor’s in Construction, Engineering, or related field.
• Up to 5 years in heavy civil, TxDOT project management.
• Strong decision-making, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
• Solid understanding of contracts, delivery models, and procurement.
• Comfortable on active jobsites and proficient with industry software.
• Valid driver’s license.
