Position: Field Supervisor / Quality Control Manager
Position Summary The Field Supervisor / Quality Control Manager is responsible for, ensuring installation quality, managing inspections, and serving as the primary bridge between field crews, office operations, and builders/clients. This role plays a critical part in maintaining company standards, preventing rework, and protecting project profitability through strong leadership, accountability, and proactive quality control.

Key Responsibilities:

Field Leadership & Oversight Lead and oversee multiple job sites to ensure work is completed according to company standards, specifications, and safety requirements

Direct and support installation crews to maintain productivity, professionalism, and quality

Enforce company policies, procedures, and performance expectations in the field

Serve as the on-site leadership representative of the company

Quality Control & Inspections Perform detailed inspections of roofing and construction installations across all systems (shingle, tile, metal, TPO, flashing, etc.)Identify quality issues, deficiencies, and potential failures early to prevent rework and warranty claims

Verify installations meet manufacturer specifications, company standards, and applicable codes

Document inspections with photos, detailed notes, and clear corrective actions

Communication & Coordination Act as a liaison between field crews, office staff, builders, and clients

Provide timely and accurate updates on job status, issues, and resolutions

Communicate field conditions and recommendations clearly to operations and scheduling teams

Professionally handle quality concerns and difficult conversations when required

Ownership & Accountability Take full ownership of assigned projects and field outcomes

Track issues through to full resolution

Ensure corrective work is completed properly and verified

Maintain high standards of personal accountability and follow-through

Process, Systems & Documentation Accurately manage work orders, inspections, and notes within company software platforms (e.g., Bolt, Company Cam, CRM systems)
Ensure all field activity is properly documented

Follow established operational workflows and contribute to continuous improvement

Maintain organized and reliable records for quality, scheduling, and reporting purposes

Problem Solving & Decision Making Assess field issues and make sound, timely decisions

Balance production schedules with quality and long-term performance

Escalate critical issues with clear analysis and recommended solutions

Proactively identify risks to schedule, cost, or quality

Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of experience in roofing, construction, or field supervision (adjust per HR standards)
Strong knowledge of roofing systems, flashing details, and construction sequencing

Proven experience performing quality control inspections

Ability to read plans, specifications, and manufacturer installation requirements

Comfortable working in active construction and new-build environments

Proficient with mobile and job management software tools

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between job sites

Bilingual

Preferred Qualifications Experience in residential new construction roofing

Familiarity with multiple roofing systems (tile, metal, TPO, shingles)
Experience working directly with builders and construction managers

Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Work Environment Requirements Ability to work in outdoor construction environments

Ability to climb ladders and access roofs when required (a must have)
Ability to lift and carry typical inspection and safety equipment

Ability to walk job sites and stand for extended periods

Able to use personal vehicle to drive from job to job with a gas allowance.
