As a Locum Physician specializing in General Medicine, you will perform crucial Compensation & Pension exams and Separation Health Assessments, supporting our nation's heroes with professionalism and compassion. This opportunity offers a dynamic hybrid of outpatient evaluations administered either in your own clinic or at designated facilities, all while enjoying excellent pay and benefits.

Required Skills:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution
• Valid state medical license for Texas
• Board certification or eligibility in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or related general medicine fields
• Proven experience with outpatient assessments and physical examinations
• Strong communication skills with the ability to conduct interview-based evaluations
• Ability to adhere to exam protocols and documentation standards in a fast-paced environment

Nice to Have

Skills:

• Prior experience with Compensation & Pension evaluations
• Knowledge of VA-specific assessment procedures
• Familiarity with telehealth or remote evaluation platforms
• Bilingual abilities

Preferred

Education and Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years' clinical practice in general medicine
• Previous locum or temporary assignment experience preferred
• Experience working with veteran populations is advantageous

Other Requirements:

• Authorization to work independently in Texas
• Ability to work flexible hours, including partial or full-day shifts as needed
• Willingness to travel locally within the Houston area if required
• No prescribing or treatment responsibilities; assessments solely interview and physical exam based
• Completion of onboarding and training prior to service; bonus awarded upon successful completion of initial exams
