Senior Tax Associate - Hybrid (in office 3 days a week)
Position Overview
The Senior Tax Associate will play a crucial role in managing tax compliance and advisory services for our clients. This position requires a solid understanding of tax regulations and the ability to provide strategic tax planning solutions. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate tax reporting, identify tax-saving opportunities, and advise clients on various tax-related matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review complex federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses
- Conduct tax research and analysis to provide insights and recommendations
- Assist in tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities
- Work closely with clients to address their tax concerns and provide guidance
- Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations that affect clients
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and accurate tax compliance
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax compliance and advisory
- Extensive knowledge of the tax laws for S-Corps, C-Corps, Partnerships and Individuals required
- Trust and Estate (Fiduciary) tax knowledge preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA strongley preferred or in pursuit of CPA
- Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Understanding of a broad range of accounting issues including those involving higher levels of judgment such as: priority for income taxes, revenue recognition, subsequent events, contingencies and industry-specific issues
- Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
