Job Description
At Ascentium Capital, the Titling Specialist is responsible for title estimates, VIN searches, preparing title packages for DMVs or title agencies, and following up on post‑closing items and proper stacking of loan/lease files as well as day‑to‑day support of the entire loan/lease closing department (documentation, audit, and funding).
Primary Responsibilities- Conduct verbal verifications of title estimates with customers.
- Conduct VIN searches when necessary.
- Call DMVs to obtain additional information on a state.
- Handle the scanning of documents.
- Retrieve, scan, and deliver mail.
- Handle UPS shipments when necessary.
- Receive and distribute packages.
- Maintain reports and follow up on title processing.
- Call customers to inquire about the status of a title.
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least one year of customer service experience.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to learn additional systems as needed.
- Ability to research, analyze data, and derive facts.
- Ability to work in a team environment when applicable.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.
- Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong work ethic and self‑motivation.
- Accurately calculate in‑house estimates for state/county fees, registration fees, title fees, and applicable sales or state taxes for all jurisdictions.
- Apply strong mathematical skills to perform precise calculations and ensure financial accuracy.
- Conduct thorough research across all states and counties to determine title, tax, registration, and DMV requirements.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently while managing responsibilities efficiently and meeting deadlines.
- Maintain exceptional attention to detail by reviewing documents and verifying accuracy and compliance.
- Adaptability to manage and navigate evolving procedures and company policies.
- Outstanding proofreading skills.
- Possess a basic understanding of the flow of title ownership.
- Strong ability to manage and resolve escalated issues effectively and professionally.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies or fraudulent indicators in documentation.

Pay Range- Job Range Target: $41,902.50 USD
- Median: $49,883.40 USD
