About the RoleLocated in the heart of the Texas Medical Center, the client offers an exciting opportunity to join its Heart & Vascular Institute (HVI) Operating Room team. This position is responsible for providing skilled perioperative patient care through the proper use of surgical equipment and instrumentation. The Certified Surgical Technologist functions as a scrub assistant to the surgeon, ensuring safe, efficient, and sterile operative procedures under the direction of a Registered Nurse.

Minimum QualificationsEducation:
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist Program
Licenses/Certifications:
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – National Board of Surgical Technology & Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) or National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association
Experience:
- 2+ years of CV (open heart) experience preferred
