Technical Writer II

HR is partnering with a Fortune 500 Energy & Utilities organization seeking a Technical Writer II to support enterprise documentation, communications, and knowledge management initiatives.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys transforming complex technical information into clear, user-friendly content while collaborating across technical and business teams.

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, user guides, training materials, and process documentation.
• Partner with business stakeholders, technical teams, and subject matter experts to gather and validate information.
• Translate complex concepts into clear, concise, and easy-to-understand content.
• Edit, proofread, and maintain documentation standards and consistency.
• Update documentation based on process improvements, system changes, and stakeholder feedback.
• Support knowledge-sharing initiatives and develop monthly communications/newsletters.
• Manage multiple documentation projects in a fast-paced environment.

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, or a related field.
• 2+ years of technical writing or documentation experience.
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.
• Experience creating process documentation, user guides, SOPs, or training materials.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and documentation tools.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

• Must be a U.S. Citizen or Green Card Holder.
• Must be local to the Houston area.
• Must be able to work hybrid in Downtown Houston.
• No Corp-to-Corp arrangements.
