About this positionReports to:
Facility Director
Summary:
Conducts general repair and maintenance duties according to Club and OSHA safety standards.
- Maintains and makes general repairs to the plumbing fixtures, electrical system, appliances, ventilation system and building structure of the club.
- Conducts plumbing repairs such as leaking pipes and faucets and clogged drains.
- Performs various duties involving painting, plumbing, carpentry and electrical work.
- Maintains the air conditioning, refrigerators and kitchen equipment.
- Inspects and observes all air handler units daily.
- Inspects lighting throughout the club and make any necessary changes.
- Performs preventive maintenance duties.
- Changes air filters.
- Completes work orders accurately and timely.
- Keeps shop and work area clean and clear of debris.
- Cleans and reorganizes after every repair.
- Properly stores chemicals, paint, flammables and equipment.
- Follows all OSHA safety guidelines.
- Assures proper use and handling of ladders, power tools and equipment.
- Responds to calls from staff and members for maintenance and other needs.
- Perform all work related duties as assigned by supervisor or Manager.

- Occasional interaction with members and vendors.
- Evening shift 1:30 pm to 10 pm Thursday to Monday.
- Full time hours, must be able to work weekends and holidays.
- $17 to $19 per hour depending on experience and job knowledge.
- Worker is subject to hot, humid and/or cold temperatures.
Education and Experience
- 2-year minimum experience as maintenance technician.
- High School or GED.
- Practice good hygiene before reporting to work and when returning to your assigned workstation. This includes washing your hands, avoiding touching your face, limiting unnecessary physical contact, coughing/sneezing into a tissue or the inside of your elbow, and disinfecting frequently used items and surfaces in your work area as directed by management using company-provided cleaning products.
- Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by your specific job. This may include safety masks, gloves, safety shoes and other PPE as directed by the company.
- Non-slip work shoes or boots with safety toe guard.
- Denim jeans or pants – blue, khakis or brown.
- Club issued shirt with club crest/logo (when available) or black or gray polo style shirt with collar, short or long sleeve shirt.
- Club issued jacket with club crest/logo (when available during winter season).
- Black cap or club issued cap (optional).
- Must possess an outgoing personality.
- Must possess honesty and integrity.
- Must be courteous and tactful at all times.
- Must treat others with kindness and respect.
- Ability to effectively communicate in a professional manner to employees and managers.
- Wear personal protective equipment when using power tools.
- Wear hard leather work boots.
- Ability to appear for work on time.
- Ability to interact well with co-workers.
- Ability to understand and follow posted rules and procedures.
- Ability to follow directions from a supervisor.

- Reach with hands and arms.
- Hearing and talking sufficient enough to communicate with members, guests, vendors, and staff.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision, vision sufficient enough to read, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Independent mobility throughout club property.
$17 - $19 Hourly Wage
