Position OverviewThe Quality Inspector II is responsible for leading quality control activities and conducting detailed inspections and tests on products and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards. This role involves advanced quality control techniques, data analysis, and collaboration with production teams to enhance product quality. Responsibilities of this position include hands‑on tasks such as measuring product dimensions, documenting findings, and performing routine quality assessments.
The inspector must be able to work independently with minimal instruction and supervision while maintaining compliance with quality standards.
- Perform inspections on materials, products, assemblies, and sub‑assemblies.
- Read drawings, comprehend specifications and tolerances, compare results with specifications, record test data, and confer with engineers, technicians, and production personnel as necessary.
- Perform dimensional and visual verifications of machined parts to acceptance criteria.
- Review documents supplied with material and parts to acceptance criteria, such as dimensional reports, traceability reports, and certificates of conformity.
- Develop and maintain inspection plans per drawing requirements.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and management teams to address quality concerns and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure all existing working procedures and processes are followed.
- Complete in‑process, final, and receiving inspections and document and maintain inspection results.
- High School or associate degree and experience in battery pack testing and assembly.
- 1 – 3 years of experience in technical training or manufacturing training.
- Preferred:
- Knowledge of electronic processes, battery safety, and components.
- Experience in high voltage battery environment.
- Experience with in Battery industry preferred.
- Quality inspection experience with AS9100.
