Operations Manager, General Labor
Summary/Objective
The Warehouse Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the activities of warehouse workers and forklift operators.
Essential Functions- Facilitating the receiving, put away, storage (inventory) and shipping of product in a timely and efficient manner and being knowledgeable of the various types of products and how the warehouse process works, from the receiving/unloading of containers through to the put away and shipping from the warehouse.
- Understanding the paperwork involved and being able to utilize the computer systems that support production and inventory, and being responsible for safe and competent operation of the equipment within both production and computer environments.
- Prioritizing daily and weekly production requirements.
- Responding to changes in schedule and customer requests as appropriate; maintaining a sanitary and safe work environment; facilitating morning safety and communications meetings.
- Supporting management in achieving quality targets.
- Working with maintenance personnel on routine preventive equipment and building and grounds maintenance and repair.
- Identifying opportunities for improvement in the areas of quality, equipment efficiency, personnel and resource utilization.
- Filling in at the warehouse as needed.
- High School diploma or equivalency required; vocational school preferred.
- Microsoft Office and general computer experience.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- Coffee experience preferred.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Driver's license required.

Working conditionsThe warehouse supervisor will provide support in a warehouse with moderate to loud noise level and requiring various PPE for safety; will have exposure to confined work spaces, dirt, temperature extremes, high work places, improper illumination, strobe lighting, strong odors, noise, vibration routinely encountered in warehousing.
Physical requirementsCan be a physically demanding job where the incumbent is required to stand for extended periods of time, lift heavy objects on a regular basis – 50 pounds, and team‑lift 160 pounds, and do repetitive tasks with few breaks.
Position Type and Expected Work HoursThis is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.; rare after hours work and overtime.
