Lean Manufacturing Engineer | Hudsonville, MI
Salary Range: $76,000 - $116,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity
We are collaborating with manufacturing firms in Hudsonville that are seeking skilled Lean Manufacturing Engineers. These organizations are dedicated to maintaining high standards and are looking for professionals who can contribute effectively. Key Responsibilities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean methodologies (e.g., Kaizen, 5S, Value Stream Mapping).
- Analyze manufacturing processes to identify waste, bottlenecks, and opportunities for optimization.
- Develop and implement standardized work procedures to improve efficiency and quality.
- Lead cross-functional teams in problem-solving and process improvement projects.
- Design and optimize production layouts for improved material flow and reduced lead times.
- Train and mentor production teams on Lean principles and tools.
- Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to track improvement progress.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
- 3+ years of experience implementing Lean principles (e.g., VSM, Kaizen, 5S) in a manufacturing environment
- Proven ability to lead and facilitate continuous improvement initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) and MS Office Suite
- Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred)
- Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
- Experience with advanced simulation software (e.g., Arena, Simio).
- Proficiency in programming languages for data analysis (e.g., Python, R).
- Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional teams.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
