This position is for a software engineer to support the LRHW software organization. You will help code, develop, and innovate technical solutions for soldier utilized ground systems.

This position requires strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, and to interface with software developers, test engineers, system engineers, program management, quality assurance engineers, and customer representatives. Lockheed Martin is seeking a Software Engineer for a position in Huntsville, AL.

• Support the LRHW software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP).
• Design and develop new Java applications;
  Maintain existing Java applications
• Support software testing and resolution of issues from multiple baselines
• Perform in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution
• Work from system specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications
• Assist with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs
• Interface with other system support groups
• Generate software design artifacts and support design and code reviews

• Experience with Java, Python, or other modern coding languages
• Experience in full life cycle software development of Java-based applications in a Unix/Linux platform environment.
• Experience utilizing configuration management tools in the development of software (e.g. Git/Gitlab/etc.).

• Experience as Scrum Master
• Experience in design and development of Java applications.
• Experience in developing new capabilities into a legacy SW system.
• Experience using Maven or Gradle.
• Experience using automated unit testing frameworks

This position requires a government security clearance; you must be a US Citizen for consideration. Level: Secret.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time; work will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed, with additional paid time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off.
