The Engineering & Technology organization is a highly dynamic and growing organization that plays a vital role in providing mission-critical solutions to our customers. This position is for a software engineer to support the LRHW software organization. You will help code, develop, and innovate technical solutions for soldier utilized ground systems. This position requires strong communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment, and to interface with software developers, test engineers, system engineers, program management, quality assurance engineers, and customer representatives.

Lockheed Martin is seeking a Software Engineer for a position in Huntsville, AL. In this role, you will support the LRHW software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP). Specific duties will include:
• Support Daily Scrum Standup
• Design and develop new Java applications;
Maintain existing Java applications
• Support software testing and resolution of issues from multiple baselines
• Perform in-depth analysis and technical support of systems software products, including complex problem resolution
• Works from system specifications to develop or modify operating systems applications
• Assist with design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging and documentation of programs
• Interface with other system support groups
• Generate software design artifacts and support design and code reviews

Basic Qualifications:

- Experience with Java, Python, or other modern coding languages - Experience in full life cycle software development of Java-based applications in a Unix/Linux platform environment.

- Experience utilizing configuration management tools in the development of software (e.g. Git/Gitlab/etc.). Desired

Skills:

- Experience as Scrum Master - Experience in design and development of Java applications.

- Experience in developing new capabilities into a legacy SW system.

- Experience using Maven or Gradle.

- Experience using automated unit testing frameworks Security Clearance Statement:
