1st Grade Teacher

Location: Germantown Hills

Duties

* Meet all requirements as called for in the Collective Bargaining Agreement (building policies, procedures and regulations, and attendance standards)

* Develop and deliver developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with district and state standards in core content areas (ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies).

* Foster a positive classroom climate that supports student learning and models respect, responsibility, and cooperation.

* Use a variety of instructional strategies, materials, and technologies to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.

* Utilize formative and summative assessment data to guide instruction and monitor student progress.

* Collaborate with other staff members, including specialists and interventionists, to support differentiated instruction and individual student needs.

* Communicate regularly and effectively with parents/guardians about student progress, behavior, and classroom activities.

* Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and other required documentation.

* Participate in professional learning communities (PLCs), staff meetings, and ongoing professional development.

* Create and maintain a safe and organized classroom environment.

* Implement school-wide behavior expectations and support positive student behavior management techniques.

* Uphold school policies and procedures and demonstrate professionalism in all aspects of the role.

Qualifications

Valid Illinois state teaching certification for grades K-4 (or appropriate elementary licensure)
