Key Responsibilities
- Training:
Develop and conduct EHS training programs for employees at all levels on safety procedures, OSHA regulations, and workplace best practices. - Job Hazard Analysis:
Review and observe tasks that are involved in the everyday operational responsibilities of all employees. Determine requirement levels of PPE, ergonomics, likelihood of sprains and strains, and the document findings. - Safety Program Development:
Design, implement, and oversee comprehensive safety programs in compliance with OSHA standards and other regulatory requirements. - Risk Assessment:
Perform regular risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards. - Incident Investigation:
Lead investigations into safety incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions to prevent future occurrences. - Compliance Monitoring:
Monitor and ensure company-wide compliance with OSHA regulations and other applicable safety laws and standards. - Reporting:
Prepare and maintain accurate records and reports on safety inspections, audits, training activities, and incidents. - Emergency Response:
Develop and coordinate emergency response plans and conduct regular drills and training sessions. - Policy Development:
Update and enforce safety policies and procedures, ensuring they are communicated effectively across the organization. - Employee Engagement:
Promote a culture of safety through continuous communication, training, and engagement with all employees. - Continuous Improvement:
Stay up-to-date with the latest OSHA regulations and industry best practices and incorporate them into the company’s safety programs.
Requirements:
- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, ASP, OSHA 30-Hour) are preferred. - Experience:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role, with a strong focus on OSHA compliance and training program development. - Knowledge:
