- Establish and maintain safe work practices and environmental compliance.
- Contribute to the achievement of plant safety goals.
- Maintain safe working conditions throughout the unit.
- Execute short‑ and long‑term maintenance planning, scheduling, and continuous improvement activities.
- Analyze relevant Key Performance Indicators to identify deviations and initiate corrective actions.
- Manage asset risk in collaboration with the reliability team to ensure condition‑based monitoring compliance.
- Develop and manage a unit maintenance budget.
- Collaborate with procurement, reliability, and engineering to determine spare parts inventory.
- Initiate the Management of Change (MOC) process as necessary.
- Select non‑core contractor vendors from the approved list and provide required bid packages.
- Develop and implement improvements to maintenance management practices.
- Drive cost awareness, control, and reduction programs to meet or improve upon the financial goals of the unit and plant.
- Use SAP, Prometheus, and other maintenance systems to support overall maintenance activities and continuous improvements.
- Facilitate root cause problem elimination sessions.
- Oversee safety, quality, and schedule achievement of contractor work.
- Partner with contractor leaders and site leaders to review workload, manpower skills, and labor resources.
- Maintain an atmosphere of teamwork and joint accountability with the production units.
- Lead reliability, preventive maintenance, and condition‑based monitoring efforts and improvements.
- Support performance management activities and site development efforts to enhance capability and provide ongoing personal development.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, or a reliability preference. CMRP certification is desirable.
- 5+ years in maintenance and reliability.
- Experience managing a maintenance department in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with utilities‑specific equipment, steam turbines, generators, air compressors, and gas boiler systems.
- Experience in maintenance reliability, preventive maintenance, condition‑based monitoring, and root cause problem elimination techniques.
- Knowledge of SAP as it pertains to maintenance and budgeting.
- Use of KPIs for decision making and corrective action.
- Experience creating and adhering to department budgets.
- Computer literate with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.).
- Capacity to solve problems through creative, innovative solutions and challenge traditional methods.
- Demonstrated experience setting expectations for staff in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to learn and apply Ingredion’s Safety, Quality, and Financial Safety standards.
- Excellent communication across functional lines and at all levels.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to lead in a team environment, motivate, build consensus, and foster positive relationships with team members and contractors.
- Ability to evaluate personnel needs and implement effective development activities for salaried reports.
- Ability to understand and integrate technical and business needs into all activities.
- Participation in cross‑functional meetings and project reviews (e.g., IPS, Unit Capex Review).
- Conduct and lead root cause analysis.
- Ability to lead cross‑functional teams and manage contractors.
- Salary range: $ – $ annual. Final base salary determined based on responsibilities, education, experience, and other factors.
