Wastewater Treatment Operator

Job Summary

We are looking for a Wastewater Treatment Operator in Jerome,  Wastewater Treatment Operator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of wastewater treatment, performing a variety of duties related to the collection, treatment, and distribution of water and wastewater. The role requires operating the wastewater treatment system in compliance with organization discharge limits, managing sludge processing and disposal equipment, and monitoring control panels to regulate flow and chemicals.

• Operate wastewater treatment, sludge processing, and disposal equipment to control flow and processing of wastewater.
• Monitor control panels and adjust valves manually or by remote control to regulate flow of influent and chemicals.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum one (1) year wastewater treatment experience or equivalent training/certification strongly preferred.
• Basic mechanical competency with standard wastewater equipment (pumps, automation, etc.) required.
• Wastewater Operator Certification required by state agency or obtained within one (1) year of hire.

• Starting wage of $23.89.
• Two pay increases within the first year up to $1.00 – $1.50.
• Shift Differential and Double Time on Sundays.
• Thurs‑Saturday shifts, every other Sunday 5PM to 5AM.
