Job Description

Job Summary: The primary duties are to install and/or manage installation of Intrusion/Fire/CCTV/Access Control systems.

You will interact with subcontractors during project installation as well as with the client by taking care of their concerns and training the client on their respective system(s).

The Project Manager position also requires you to work alone and on a team depending on the project.

Duties included, but not limited to:

  • Installation of security systems (access, fire, intrusion, camera, etc.)

    • Run wiring, install devices and panel, program panel

    • Training clients to use the system installed

  • Service calls on security systems (access, fire, intrusion, camera, etc.)

  • Manage apprentices and/or subcontractors on several projects simultaneously

  • Inspections of security systems

  • On call for emergencies concerning security systems

  • Assisting other technicians when necessary

  • Driving to job site(s)

  • Responsible for inventory on vehicles

  • Follow safety standards set by ACS & OSHA

  • Quality control on proper installation of security systems

  • Completing timesheet, inventory used, job packets, and other paperwork


  • High School diploma or GED

  • 1 year work experience

  • Experience in installing and/or servicing security systems a plus

  • Valid drivers licenses

  • Willingness to learn

  • Ability to work a flexible work week

  • Ability to work occasional evenings and/or weekend

  • Ability to work overtime

  • Ability to be on call

  • Ability to work with limited supervision

  • Client focused

  • Organized

  • Ability to communicate effectively

  • Ability to resolve issues

  • Ability to multi-task

  • Ability to work occasionally out of town with overnight stays

  • Must be a team player and serve as a back-up when teammates are unavailable

Physical Qualifications:

  • Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs

  • Prolonged walking / standing

  • Lifting and working above shoulders

  • Pushing, pulling, grasping, twisting, and bending

  • Kneeling, squatting, climbing, crawling, and stooping

  • Nicet Level I Certification
