Job Overview

The Production Packaging Associate is an entry-level position responsible for proper packaging of materials and finished products, including loading, moving material, operating packaging equipment, and following Good Manufacturing Practices.

Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate safe work practices by wearing correct PPE and following safety policies.
  • Demonstrate punctuality and adhere to work schedule.
  • Work well with others in a teamwork attitude.
  • Adhere to company General Manufacturing Policies.
  • Keep the work area neat, clean, and organized.
  • Monitor conveyor belts and clear bottle jams.
  • Pick up dropped bottles and place into designated bins.
  • Place discarded bottles into grinder if applicable.
  • Inspect quality of bottles during production, packaging, and labeling; perform drop tests; immediately report abnormalities and defects.
  • Monitor supply levels of packaging materials and replenish as needed.
  • Ensure correct labeling, bottle description, and packaging per customer requirements.
  • Move finished goods to designated area.
  • Set up and organize workstations efficiently.
  • Maintain inventory levels and restock supplies to support smooth shift transitions.
  • Perform other duties assigned by management.
  • Perform reasonable mandatory overtime as needed.
Qualifications
  • Basic mathematical skills and basic computer experience.
  • Prefer High School diploma or GED.
  • Completion of Altium Production/Packaging Associate I training within 90 days of hire date.

Physical Demands
  • Frequently stand, walk, use hands to grasp, handle, or feel; reach out, over, and below with hands and arms.
  • Occasionally climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • Frequently lift, push, pull, and/or move up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment
  • Exposed to moving mechanical parts, loud noise levels, and fluctuating temperatures between hot and cold.
  • PPE required in the production department and designated areas.
