Our growing manufacturing client, located in Rensselaer, IN is seeking a Manufacturing Administration Coordinator to provide administrative support to the manufacturing department, ensuring efficient operations and effective communication within the team. This role involves coordinating schedules, managing documentation, and assisting with various administrative tasks to support the manufacturing process. This role reports directly to the General Manager.
Manufacturing Administration Coordinator Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and manage manufacturing schedules, ensuring timely communication of changes and updates.
- Maintain and organize manufacturing documentation, including production records, quality control reports, and inventory logs.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, presentations, and other documentation as required by the manufacturing team.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and communication.
- Working within the ERP system Business Central to generate Purchase orders, receive orders, progress chase vendors, arrange shipments and Invoice.
- Support the implementation of manufacturing policies and procedures.
- Assist in the coordination of training sessions and meetings for manufacturing staff.
- Handle general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and answering phone calls.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the manufacturing area.
- Support inventory control with weekly cycle counts.
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in administration or a related field are a plus.
- Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with ERP systems or other manufacturing software.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and terminology.
- Basic understanding of health and safety regulations in a manufacturing setting.
- Office environment within a manufacturing facility.
- Will require working within and liaising with people with the manufacturing environment.
- Regular working hours with potential for overtime during peak production periods.
