C2 Solutions Architect

At Booz Allen, we provide a mission‑critical role as a C2 Solutions Architect. You will translate customers’ IT needs and future goals into actionable plans and deliver the full hardware‑and‑software stack behind a command‑and‑control capability. This hands‑on, client‑facing engineering role bridges system administration, communications systems, cloud/virtualization, and forward‑operating environments.

• Translate IT requirements into design, build, deploy, and sustain solutions for command‑and‑control systems.
• Lead client interactions and translate operational needs into technical solutions.
• Mentor junior engineers and shape the digital solutions business.
• Drive modernization of legacy systems via cloud migration and integration of advanced technology.
• Operate and troubleshoot communications systems, including military radios.
• Deploy applications to virtual machines or cloud environments (AWS, VMware).
• Apply containerization technologies for application deployment (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Ensure system integrity and security compliance (RMF, STIGs, hardening, vulnerability remediation).

• Experience as a system administrator supporting Windows or Linux servers, including build, configuration, patching, and sustainment.
• Experience physically wiring, cabling, and integrating servers and computing systems, including reading and interpreting wiring schematics and rack or one‑line diagrams.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting communications systems, including military radios and commercial equipment.
• Experience deploying software applications to a virtual machine or cloud environment, including hands‑on work with AWS and VMware ESXi.
• Experience with containerization technologies, such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience applying general security compliance practices, such as RMF, STIGs, hardening, and vulnerability remediation.
• Experience standing up, configuring, and maintaining a tactical or deployable data center.
• Experience communicating directly with clients and stakeholders to translate operational needs into technical solutions.
• Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of experience in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics in lieu of a degree.

• Experience with command‑and‑control (C2) systems and tactical data links, such as Link 16 or JREAP‑C, and RF theory.
• Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code or configuration management such as Terraform or Ansible.
• Experience supporting deployable, expeditionary, or austere field environments.
• Knowledge of high‑voltage power system troubleshooting supporting data center or field infrastructure.
• Knowledge of HVAC or environmental‑control troubleshooting for server and equipment spaces.
• Knowledge of AWS Gov Cloud or other secure or classified cloud enclaves.
• Knowledge of network configuration and troubleshooting, including routing, switching, and VLANs, for stand‑up C2 enclaves.
• TS/SCI clearance.
• CompTIA Security+, Network+, A+, or CASP+ certification.

The projected compensation range for this position is $ to $ (annualized USD). The estimate represents the typical salary range for this position and is one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package.
