Starting Wage: $21.29/hr.

Job Objective

To locate and stage inventory as required for production packets; to increase production flow/time and inventory accuracy.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. When staging production packets, the summary availability screen must be kept current, be sure to perform all computer transfers when moving parts from a location in the warehouse to the staged area of assembly.

2. Staging has total control over what inventory is used and must make sure that old inventory is used first. FIFO system must be practiced.

3. Keep track of lot numbers as they are to be used for traceability purposes.

4. Advance job status after parts are staged alerting P&IC and Assembly that the job is staged and also to assist the cycle counts of inventory.

5. Ensure cell area component part inventory is ample to allow complete run of staged job.

6. Return unused inventory not required by the assembly production packet to the proper area ensuring that all documentation is complete and accurate.

7. Return emptied tubs to proper storage area to keep staging area neat and orderly.

8. Aide in the locating and identifying of parts when parts are lost or misplaced.

9. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

10. Maintains work areas in a cleared and orderly condition.

11. Maintains a good work attendance.

12. This position supports the continual improvement and compliance of QMS and EMS.

13. This position may be required to perform assembly duties to fulfill the production requirements of Tri Mark.

14. Responsible to perform his or her job functions in a manner that supports Tri Mark's mission, vision and values in order for the company to attain its strategic and growth goals.

Skills, Abilities, and Experience Required

Ability to work accurately in performing mathematical calculations converting weights to piece counts.

Ability to recognize parts and their corresponding part numbers.

Knowledge of the warehousing system to readily locate parts in a minimum of time.

Skill in operating various scales in the prescribed manner.

Skill in operating forklift in a safe and approved manner.

Knowledge and skill in using the company wide computer system.

Knowledge of the location of the various production stations where parts are being used and the appropriate production state of each part.

Judgment Required

To determine location of parts in a minimum of time.

To determine the stage of work-in-process for various parts and subassemblies.

Core Competencies

• Listens to others and communicates in a professional manner.

• Stage production packets component parts for required production areas as prepared by PIC production job. Ensuring correct components are staged for each job thus eliminating the chance of scrap/obsolete/excess inventory being produced.

• Knowledge of the parts numbering system, inventory control procedures and the various operations and departments which produce or modify parts.

• Ability to communicate and work comfortably with other departments throughout the plant.

• Knowledge of warehousing system to readily locate parts in a minimum amount of time in order to keep downtime at a minimum.

Working Conditions

Must be available to work overtime and weekends as required to meet the company's business demands.

General conditions are good with an insignificant exposure to dust, fumes, chemicals or other irritants. The work area is dry with normal temperatures for the season. The noise level is 80 to 90 DB.

Uniform safety practices consist of safety shoes, safety glasses, and other devices as required. This area requires normal or corrected vision, normal depth perception and peripheral vision of 180 degrees and no color deficiency. Hearing protection is not required but is available.
