The Commissary Clerk assists the Warehouse Management team in managing the day‑to‑day operation of the warehouse. They coordinate all dock shipping and receiving activities, use inventory control systems, and manage personnel and time. Under the direction of Warehouse Management, they help monitor and execute compliance documents related to personnel, food safety, sanitation, and productivity. They ensure picking orders are fulfilled timely and maintain high fulfillment ratios.

The Clerk follows strict directives for their hourly schedule and works with the QA Director to implement the Food Safety program in the warehouse.

• Responsible for your own safety and the well‑being of all peer associates.
• Conduct loading and unloading of trailers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Move product from one location to another safely and efficiently.
• Obey all traffic and speed signs throughout the commissary facility, inside and out.
• Wear all equipment safety gear and safety belt as per company policies.
• Supply raw materials from storage to production and pick up finished goods for storage.
• Dispose of recyclables, trash, and waste in designated bins.
• Perform all picking, staging, and loading activities to ensure orders ship on time.
• Ensure documentation for each load is completed, signed off, and provided to Supervisor or Leads for final issuing of bill of lading and shipment release.
• Ensure full compliance with facility and department safety rules, HACCP, SSOPs, and GMPs per Food Safety guidelines.

• Transport handling of all shipments, loading and unloading.
• Ensure that all raw materials and finished goods are properly stored according to Food Safety standards.
• Report immediately to the Supervisor any driving accidents or property/material damage.
• Relieve other forklift associates during breaks.
• Execute the proper functioning of all picking, storing, shipping, and receiving activities.
• Assist Warehouse Team in managing the entire inventory.
• Follow all necessary documentation and legal procedures for dispatch and receiving goods.
• Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and packaging of goods and materials.
• Keep the work area clean and orderly.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Adhere to local and state health and sanitation laws and regulations.
• Perform any other work‑related duties as assigned.

Education / Experience

• High school graduate or equivalent education.
• Must be able to operate pallet‑wrapping machines.
• Must have a solid attendance record.

Certificates / Licenses / Registrations

• Food Handlers Certification
