The RoleAs Strategic Finance Director, you will act as a financial partner to the CEO and leadership team.
Your role is to bring clarity, discipline, and structure to how the business operates. You will own financial planning, help drive strategic decisions, and ensure resources are deployed effectively as the company grows. We are not looking for someone to report on the business. We are looking for someone to help run the business through finance
—bringing discipline, insight, and structure to how Injala grows.
- Build and maintain a forward-looking operating model that ties together revenue, hiring, pricing, and margins
- Develop scenario plans to support key decisions (growth vs. cost, hiring pace, investment priorities)
- Continuously refine assumptions as the business evolves
- Design and roll out a company-wide budgeting process
- Work with department leaders to align spend with priorities
- Establish accountability and enforce budget adherence
- Bring structure to how financial decisions are made across the organization
- Conduct a comprehensive review of team sizes and org structure, vendor and software spend, and overall operating expenses
- Identify inefficiencies, overinvestment, and areas to reduce or reallocate capital
- Provide clear recommendations to leadership on where to cut, invest, or restructure
- Work closely with the CEO and leadership team on pricing strategies, hiring plans, and resource allocation
- Translate business initiatives into financial impact
- Bring a data-driven perspective and challenge assumptions where needed
- Establish KPIs and dashboards that provide visibility into performance
- Define reporting cadence (weekly/monthly) for leadership
- Ensure the business has clear insight into growth, efficiency, and margins
- Build investor-ready financial materials and models
- Contribute to long-term planning and company strategy
- 6–10+ years in FP&A, strategic finance, or similar roles
- Experience in SaaS or high-growth environments preferred
- Strong financial modeling skills (built from scratch)
- Business-minded—able to connect numbers to decisions
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and building systems
- Willing to challenge thinking and drive accountability
This is a build role at an inflection point
.
You are not stepping into a mature finance function—you are helping define it.
- Build, don’t maintain: You will create the financial operating system—how we plan, measure, and make decisions.
- Operate at the center of the business: You will work directly with the CEO and leadership team on pricing, hiring, and growth decisions.
- Drive real impact: You will identify inefficiencies, improve spending discipline, and influence how the company scales.
- High ownership environment: We value people who think independently, challenge assumptions, and take responsibility for outcomes.
