International Operations Trainer
The International Operations Trainer will assist in the development, and facilitation of our Corporate Operations Training Program. This role will train all operational teammates using a blend of live, instructor‑led courses with supplemental e‑learning content offerings. They will be dedicated to ensuring a positive work environment for all our global teammates, providing a memorable onboarding experience complemented with ongoing engaging and innovative learning programs.
Responsibilities- Facilitate the live, instructor‑led courses on a consistent and regular schedule each week (approx. 20 hours per week).
- Maintain proficient knowledge of AIT Operational Processes across all Products.
- Help to develop the live program curriculum, content, job aids & activities.
- Research best practices, learning & development tools & methods, and creative interactive activity ideas. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Operational Onboarding Training Program through feedback and evaluation to continuously improve the learning experience. Suggest adjustments to improve.
- Act as a mentor to participants in each training program, ensuring their success not only during the program but in the days/weeks/months afterward.
- Manage and report on virtual trainings in the LMS, learning management system, which supplement the live instructor‑led trainings.
- Assist in assessing, communicating, and coordinating the new hire onboarding experience and provide feedback and suggestions to hiring managers for the continued teammate onboarding and development of their new teammate.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with teammates, subject‑matter experts and leaders across the organization.
- Assist the training team with other AIT Training Initiatives, as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Comply with all policies and standards.
- The wage range for this position is $73,660.00 – $ and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
- Education
:
High School Diploma (Required);
Bachelor's Degree (Preferred). - Experience
: 5+ years International Freight Forwarding experience (Required). - Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
:- Proficiency in Cargo Wise, CCO Certification or higher (preferred – Medium).
- Full professional proficiency in Spanish.
- Experience training new employees (plus – High).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; comfortable speaking in front of a large group of people – High.
- Can drive understanding (e.g., using visual aids, recognizing when a group or individual is lost and needs more attention – Medium).
- Ability to effectively describe complicated ideas to different audiences (with different learning styles) – Medium.
- Patience working with new hires of different experience levels and learning abilities – High.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Outlook – Medium.
- Analytical & process‑minded, able to break down complex concepts into easily digestible steps – Medium.
- Deadline focused, organized and able to prioritize multiple projects – Medium.
- Exceptional attendance record – Medium.
- Demonstrates a positive "can do" demeanor and gains energy from working with others – High.
- Licenses and Certifications
:- Cargo Wise, CCO Certification or higher (Preferred).
- Base compensation may be eligible for a bonus based on the achievement of business and/or individual performance metrics (dependent on position).
