We’re seeking a strategic and operationally driven finance leader to serve as the Director of FP&A within J.D. Power. In this role, you will oversee the company’s financial planning, forecasting, and analysis processes, ensuring alignment with corporate strategy and operational execution. Working closely with the Vice President – FP&A, CFO, executive leadership, and business unit leaders, you will provide actionable insights that drive growth, improve profitability, and strengthen financial discipline across the organization.

As the Director of FP&A, you will be the driving force behind financial planning and analysis that fuels J.D. Power’s growth and operational excellence. By leading the budgeting and forecasting process, delivering insightful performance reporting, and partnering with business leaders to optimize resource allocation, you will ensure the company’s financial strategy is executed with precision.

• Strategic Planning & Forecasting:
  Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long‑range planning processes in partnership with executive leadership.
• Performance Reporting:
  Deliver timely, accurate, and insightful reporting on company performance, KPIs, and trends.
• Business Partnering:
  Collaborate with business unit leaders to translate operational strategies into financial outcomes and drive accountability.
• Capital Allocation:
  Provide analysis and recommendations on investments, resource allocation, and growth initiatives.
• Scenario Modeling:
  Develop and maintain robust financial models to support decision‑making and risk management.
• Executive Support:
  Prepare board‑level presentations, investor materials, and executive reports that clearly communicate financial performance and outlook.
• Team Leadership:
  Build, mentor, and lead a high‑performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
• Process Improvement:
  Drive enhancements in financial systems, reporting tools, and analytical capabilities.

• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred.
• 12+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in FP&A leadership roles.
• Proven track record of influencing executive decision‑making through financial insights.
• Strong expertise in financial modeling, forecasting, and performance management.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complex data.
• Experience with ERP systems, BI tools, and advanced Excel/financial modeling.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to support global teams and attend executive meetings.

This position has a starting salary range of $180,000 - $240,000 USD or $150,000 - $190,000 CAD per year. This is the range we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for the role at the time of posting. An employee’s pay within the range is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, education, qualifications, experience, performance, business or organizational needs, and geographic location.
