Facilities Maintenance Technician

1100 Technology Dr, Jackson, MI 49201 (100% onsite)

6:00 AM – 2:30 PM, Monday to Friday (first shift)

Second shift: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (if required)

• Understand and comply with facility safety rules and regulations.
• Work in a chemical hazardous area with appropriate PPE.
• Install, maintain, and repair industrial equipment (liquid pumps, centrifugal pumps, gears, air motors, valves, actuators, conveyors, HVAC, boilers, air compressors, etc.).
• Fabricate equipment, performing metal welding, TIG, MIG, Stick, cutting, plasma, angle grinding, with or without drawings.
• Inspect machines regularly for signs of malfunctions, performing scheduled testing.
• Identify and troubleshoot malfunctions in production machinery.
• Schedule and perform routine preventative maintenance and service.
• Conduct emergency repairs on mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic machinery.
• Maintain cleanliness of machinery and adjacent workplace; create a schedule for inspection, service, and testing.
• Comply with work orders for service, modification, or installation.

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in maintenance field required.
• Minimum 1 year experience with plumbing, electrical, HVAC, fabrication preferred.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Willingness to learn and perform pipe fitting and welding.
• Basic understanding of HVAC, plumbing, metal fabrication, electrical preferred.
• Ability to work first shift and second shift.
• Ability to work weekends and overtime.
• Potential to work at heights for a short duration.
