Qualifications
- College degree preferred
- Ability to efficiently operate an electronic typewriter, microcomputer (word processor), computer terminal, and calculator
- Extensive knowledge and practical experience with the following software packages:
Excel, Lotus, DBase 4, and Power Point - Knowledge of basic accounting principles and experience in governmental accounting
- Reconciles bank statements
- Reconciles due to and due from amounts between funds
- Prepares journal entries as necessary for correction and reconciliation
- Reconciles warehouse purchase orders to amounts paid and inventory recorded
- Records inventory adjustments necessary to correct pricing or quantity errors
- Assists with preparation for audit and preparing audit schedules
- Assists in preparation of financial statements
- Assists in answering surveys and other requests for statistical information
- Performs other related duties as requested or assigned
