Baptist Medical Center is adding a Registered Nurse to the Pediatric Operating Room at Wolfson Children’s Hospital. This is a full‑time, days shift position that requires a 30‑minute response time call and qualifies for competitive call and differential pay.

• Provide nursing care to patients in the main operating room, collaborating closely with physicians and other OR teams.
• Serve as the Circulating Nurse, remaining with the patient for the entire intra‑operative period to advocate for safety and coordinate care.
• Verify patient information, position the patient, manage the room, and initiate counts.
• Consult with patients, significant others, and families to develop individualized plans of care.
• Prepare the assigned room/case and anticipate needs for each surgical case.
• Perform call, weekend, and holiday coverage as required.

• Education – Associate of Science in Nursing required;
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Experience – 1‑2 years OR Circulating experience required (or completion of an AORN Pre‑operative 101 Program); 1‑2 years cardiac experience preferred; 1‑2 years telemetry experience preferred; hospital experience.
• Licenses & Certifications – Basic Life Support (BLS) required;
  Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred;
  Conscious Sedation Certification preferred;
  Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) preferred;
  Licensed Registered Nurse required.

This position requires a Level II background check (fingerprint‑based screening for positions of trust, including state and federal criminal history checks) and will undergo screening as a condition of employment and continued employment.
