Registered Nurse, short‑term contracted position requiring a commitment of 36‑40 hrs./week for 12‑13 weeks in the Neuro Operating Room. The Neuro Operating Room has 5 OR Suites, 2 IR Suites, and includes state‑of‑the‑art technology such as intraoperative CT and MRI. This is a full‑time, weekend opportunity with a 40‑minute response time call, qualifying for competitive call and differential pay.

• Provide patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement.
• Organize and supervise care provided by supportive personnel.
• Coordinate care provided by ancillary services.
• Include patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care.
• Educate patients/SO/families about their disease process and plan of care; serve as patient advocate and provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other conditions including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses.
• Support surgical teams performing neurosurgery cases and neuroendovascular cases.

• 2 years Operating Room experience.

• Associate of Science in Nursing required.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• BLS required.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification preferred.
• ACLS preferred.
• Licensed Registered Nurse required.
