In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing ambulance fleet readiness, vehicle maintenance coordination, equipment functionality, and operational support across daily EMS operations. This position helps ensure vehicles are safe, properly maintained, and ready for service while supporting compliance with organizational standards and operational demands.

Key Responsibilities
  • Planning, prioritizing, assigning, supervising, reviewing, andparticipatingin all tasks related to ambulance fleet maintenance
  • Developing methods and schedules for ambulance fleet maintenance
  • Responsibly handling emergency situations or after‑hours calls for repair and maintenance
  • Taking part in developing maintenance policies and standards for an organization
  • Coordinating training sessions in ambulance fleet maintenance, safety procedures, and methods
  • Planning daily tasks and delegating them to Maintenance Technicians and other professionals
  • Maintaining preventive maintenance standards for an organization’s fleet and equipment
  • Routinely inspecting various elements of vehicles and equipment
  • Travel for training or implementation of new markets required
Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to grip, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand and walk. The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, stand, or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 180 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 300 pounds with assistance from others.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of fleet or logistics experience
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to identify issues and decide on required actions
  • Competence to plan maintenance schedules
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and delegation skills
  • Ability to analyze and solve problems
  • Competency with computers and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Critical‑thinking skills
  • Dexterity and physical stamina
  • ASE preferred
  • EVOC certificate (Ameri Pro will provide training)
