Selector II
Location: Jacksonville, FL (Onsite)
4+ month
Schedule: Monday Friday, 6:00 AM until finish
Shift: 1st / Day Shift
Overtime: As needed
The Selector II is responsible for accurately selecting, staging, and preparing products for shipment in a fast-paced food distribution warehouse. This role requires operating material handling equipment, following warehouse management system (WMS) processes, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.
Responsibilities- Follow WMS-directed pick paths to accurately select products from inventory
- Label, stage, and transport products to designated shipping areas
- Build pallets safely with proper product stacking techniques
- Secure pallets using shrink wrap according to established procedures
- Record product and inventory information in warehouse systems
- Inspect products for damage, shortages, and quality concerns
- Report inventory discrepancies and product issues promptly
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas and aisles
- Assist in minimizing product loss and damage
- Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions
- Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned
- Prior experience operating a riding triple pallet jack
- Ability to follow WMS instructions and work independently
- Ability to lift, move, and handle products in a physically demanding environment
- Ability to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail, safety, and productivity
- Steel-toe boots (above the ankle) required
- Raymond pallet jack experience
- Experience in food distribution or warehouse environments
- Riding Triple Pallet Jack
- Raymond Pallet Jack (preferred)
- RF Scanners
- Warehouse Management System (WMS)
- Fast-paced warehouse environment with varying temperature zones, including cold storage
- Layered clothing recommended for temperature changes
- Complete pallet jack certification and required training
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Follow OSHA, HACCP, and food safety standards
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures
- In-person interview required
