Position:  Prep Cook - Part Time - Handy Mart Kitchen Handy Mart Kitchen #177

The Prep Cook is responsible for the proper and efficient operation of the food service areas within the store.

Duties and Responsibilities:
* Provides prompt and courteous service to all customers in a safe manner.
* Operates fryers, ovens and other cooking equipment in a safe and proper manner.
* Responsible for food quality by following all recipes, procedures and standards.
* Follows all food recipes and portion controls for optimal food cost.
* Follows all prep charts on daily basis. Works with Kitchen manager to ensure we are meeting all customer needs.
* Operates and cleans cooking equipment in compliance with safety policies and standards.
* Operates kitchen within Company guidelines to minimize waste, spoilage, and maximize profits.
* Documents all spoilage and waste on a daily basis, according to systems.
* Assists Front line Cook or CSR as needed.
* Ensures food safety standards are followed at all times.
* Documents and maintains proper HACCP temperatures as schedule.
* Ensures prep area is clean and organized.
* Wash and sanitizes smallwares, cooking utensils, and dishes as needed.
* Assists with food and beverage counters as needed.
* Follows all Company policies while on duty including safety policies.
* Assists other team members in other areas of the store as needed.
* Performs other duties as needed or assigned by the manager on duty.
