Shipping​/Receiving Clerk

Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, and maintaining inventory accuracy. This role requires familiarity with warehouse operations, shipping & receiving procedures, and the use of warehouse management systems. The Shipping and Receiving Clerk plays a vital role in supporting efficient warehouse distribution.

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against purchase orders.
• Prepare outgoing shipments by picking, packing, and labeling orders accurately for delivery or transfer.
• Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
• Manage stock levels through proper stocking, inventory control, and cycle counting procedures.
• Assist with order fulfillment processes including order picking, packing, and shipping for orders.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse work area to promote safety and efficiency.
• Document shipment details accurately in warehouse management systems and update records accordingly.
• Collaborate with team members to meet shipping deadlines and optimize warehouse distribution operations.

• Previous experience in warehouse management, shipping & receiving, or related roles preferred.
• Computer experience including Email, Word and Excel.
• Ability to communicate with vendors, customers and management either in person, email, or by phone.
• Ability to operate forklifts and pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
• Knowledge of order fulfillment processes including picking & packing, stock management, and load & unload procedures.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate order processing.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining safety standards.
• Physical ability to lift heavy loads as required during stocking or loading activities.

• Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions like squatting, standing, walking, climbing, etc.
• Regular exposure to all weather conditions including hot, humid, cold, rain, etc.
• Will be required to wear protective safety equipment, such as safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, hard hats, and steel toed shoes.
