ACICIS Journalism Professional Practicum

The Asia New Zealand Foundation will support a New Zealand journalism student or recent journalism graduate to attend the 2025 Australian Consortium for In-Country Indonesian Studies (ACICIS) Journalism Professional Practicum in Jakarta, Indonesia.

The ACICIS programme typically consists of two weeks’ intensive Indonesian language training and seminars, followed by a four-week supervised industry placement with local or international media or communications organisations operating within Indonesia.

The 2024 application round has closed. Information on the next round will be made available in mid-2025.

The programme will take place between 2 January and 14 February 2025.

This programme provides an opportunity for students of journalism, media, and communication to gain valuable experience working in the field of media in Indonesia.
