The Role

As a Junior Plant Accountant, you will support the Plant Controller through accurate and timely manufacturing financial reporting, including monthly performance, cost, KPI, inventory and labour analyses. You will manage inventory controls, stock counts, SAP variance analysis and fixed asset processes while maintaining strong P2P oversight and compliance with Kerry policies. The role partners closely with Supply Chain and GBS on material costs, product/process costing and Material Ledger closure.

It requires solid analytical skills, SAP/Excel proficiency and experience in manufacturing or plant finance, supported by a degree in Accounting or Finance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support and assistance to the Plant Controller and Operations team while meeting reporting requirements within deadlines, including Management Cost Reports, Manufacturing KPI Reporting, month end closing, Inventory Reporting, Labor Cost and Headcount reporting.
  • Provide analysis and insights on inventory and manage write off process in line with KCSA.
  • Active participation in physical inventory counts at the plant and external warehouses, supporting variance reconciliation by analysing material movements in SAP and driving root cause analysis.
  • Fixed asset tagging upon capitalization, execution of annual fixed asset count and involvement in fixed asset disposal.
  • Provide periodic reporting and set up control mechanisms for P2P such as open purchase order review and follow up for action.
  • Ensure connectivity and timelines with GBS to ensure the Material Ledger is closed accurately and in accordance with regional timelines.
  • Partner with Supply Chain to review material costs weekly to ensure accurate cost components.
  • Product/process costing - ensure yields, labor and direct overhead standards reflect true manufacturing cost, working with cross functional teams to resolve any differences.
  • Carry out the Financial Accounting responsibilities as outlined in relevant Kerry Group Policies & Procedures and associated procedures and work instructions to provide financial information and advice.
  • Effective liaison with operational personnel to ensure compliance with policies and improve satisfaction with Kerry policies.
  • Ensure the timely and efficient completion of all routine Operations Finance activities and compliance with relevant Kerry Group Policies and Procedures and Kerry Jeddah Quality Policies.
  • Ensure all financial activities comply with relevant legislative, professional and ethical requirements.
  • Ensure accounting systems and procedures are established and maintained in accordance with Kerry policies.
  • Ad hoc analysis and reporting as required.
Qualifications and Skills
  • Minimum 3 5 years of related and progressive functional experience in plant finance.
  • Degree in Finance & Accounting, Business or a numerical discipline with a relevant accountancy body qualification preferred.
  • Knowledge of day to day SAP activities is a must.
  • Ability to communicate financial information to non financial managers.
  • Knowledge of inventory management and controlling.
  • Well developed collaborative and interpersonal skills to establish trust and credibility.
  • Highly computer literate, with strong analytical skills. Capability to analyse and report on large volumes of data in a user friendly manner.
  • Strong IT skills, including advanced MS Excel and PowerPoint functionality.
  • Strong team player with a clear focus on stakeholder engagement and solution delivery.
  • Strong communicator, comfortable interacting with confidence across a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Takes personal accountability and ownership of actions to completion while acting autonomously.
