Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly motivated Analytics & AI Intern to join our Data & Analytics team and support strategic initiatives to transform business processes through advanced analytics and artificial intelligence. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on a high-impact project to enhance the pre-allocation decision-making process through AI-driven recommendations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Study and document selected workflows, including business rules, data input, and decision-making criteria.
- Assist in gathering, cleaning, and structuring datasets required for analytics and machine learning use cases, ensuring data quality and consistency.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to capture and translate business decision rules into structured formats for analytics and recommendation systems.
- Contribute to building and testing rule-based or machine learning models that assist in optimizing pre-allocation decisions.
- Analyze model outputs and compare them with real-world decisions to assess accuracy, identify gaps, and suggest improvements.
- Summarize findings, insights, and recommendations in a clear, structured format for stakeholders, including presentations and documentation.
- Gain hands-on exposure to how decisions are made when inventory is limited
- Learn how business rules, operational knowledge, and constraints drive decisions
- Understand key trade-offs such as inventory utilization, waste reduction, and delivery priorities
- Ability to translate complex business workflows into structured analytical problems
Required
- Current college/High school student pursuing or planning for a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and software.
- Interpret data and derive meaningful insights
- Experience (academic or project-based) in:
- Data cleaning, preparation, or transformation
- Working with structured /unstructured datasets
- Strong attention to accuracy and data quality
- Break down complex business problems into structured analytical components
- Basic machine learning concepts (regression, classification, clustering)
- Sitting for extended periods of time.
- Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and other devices.
