Inclusive Education Teacher in BC

Location: 100 Mile House

Support diverse learners as an Inclusive Education Teacher in School District 27, British Columbia. Focus on academic, functional, and life skills for successful transitions to adulthood.

This full-time, continuing role involves providing targeted instruction and support for students with complex needs and intellectual disabilities. You will collaborate on developing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and work directly with students in both classroom and targeted settings. Emphasizing functional literacy, life skills, and social-emotional development, this role aligns with the BC Ministry of Education Inclusive Education Policy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide case management for students with complex needs

• Develop, implement, and monitor individualized IEPs/CBIEPs

• Deliver small group direct instruction in key skill areas

• Support students in inclusive classroom settings

• Facilitate transition programming with external agencies

Requirements:

• Valid BC Teaching Certificate

• Special Education training or experience preferred

• Experience supporting complex needs and disabilities

• Strong collaboration skills with school teams

• Commitment to student-centered programming
