Field Education Coordinator at TRU

Lead the field education program in social work at the TRU School of Social Work and Human Service. This full-time position requires interpersonal skills and extensive social work experience.

As a full-time Field Education Coordinator, you will facilitate Bachelor of Social Work and Human Service Diploma programs. In this role, you will develop relationships with social service providers while implementing educational events. You will also collaborate with faculty, students, and community partners to enhance practicum education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and recruit quality field placement opportunities

• Organize human service placements for all program years

• Facilitate training events for agency supervisors and students

• Assist in resolving practicum-related issues

• Develop and monitor practicum policies and procedures

Requirements:

• Master’s degree in social work required

• Five years of full-time practice experience in social work

• Experience teaching in post-secondary settings

• Registration with or intent to register with BCCSW

• Proven leadership in social work environments
