Position Summary

A member of Community Health Care Systems (CHCS) Medical Staff that specializes in diagnosing and treating diseases of the respiratory system and provide comprehensive care for patients with lung-related conditions. This role involves both outpatient and inpatient responsibilities, with an emphasis on high-quality clinical care, patient education, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

Key Responsibilities Provide consultation and referral services to CHCSs Clinic providers for Pulmonology services of patients.

Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with respiratory and pulmonary disorders such as asthma, COPD, pneumonia, lung cancer, interstitial lung disease, and sleep-related breathing disorders

Perform and interpret diagnostic tests including pulmonary function tests, bronchoscopy, chest imaging, and sleep studies

Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient history, symptoms, and diagnostic findings

Manage acute and chronic respiratory conditions in inpatient and outpatient settings

Provide consultation services to other physicians and healthcare professionals

Serve as Medical Director for Pulmonology Services including Respiratory Therapy, Pulmonary Function Tests and Sleep Lab Educate patients and families about disease management, prevention, and treatment options

Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

Maintain accurate and confidential medical records
