This full-time contract opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in K-12 students' lives, primarily in the Emporia area. You'll work onsite with diverse learners, supporting their academic, emotional, and behavioral growth while collaborating with dedicated educators and families. All assignments are conveniently located within a short drive from Emporia, ensuring a manageable schedule and variety throughout the school year.

Qualifications & Experience Desired:

• Valid Kansas School Psychologist license (required)
• Previous experience working in K-12 settings is strongly preferred
• Familiarity with special education law, IEP processes, and multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS)
• Strong ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, educators, and families
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and report writing skills
• Ability to travel to assigned districts, all within a 20-minute radius of Emporia

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psycho educational assessments to determine eligibility and guide intervention planning
• Participate in student intervention and support teams (SIT, MTSS)
• Develop and monitor student IEPs, ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Provide counseling, consultation, and crisis support as needed for students
• Work collaboratively with educational staff to implement evidence-based academic and behavioral interventions
• Serve as a key resource for families, offering guidance and advocacy
