To ensure Prairie Band Casino and Resort complies with the rules and regulations of the Tribal Gaming Commission and to ensure Prairie Band Casino and Resort’s money, property and assets are protected through constant observation of all casino areas. Support the Surveillance Technician as needed or requested.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Operates a closed circuit television system to monitor gaming, money-handling activity and procedure compliance in all departments
- Records any irregular gaming activity through accurate, detailed reports
- Operates all surveillance equipment including, but not limited to, digital system, monitors, computers, controllers and cameras as assigned
- Provides written and oral court testimony
- Maintains Surveillance equipment and databases
- Maintains a proficient knowledge of all policies and procedures
- Becomes familiar with current list of undesirables and cheats maintained by the Surveillance and Security departments
- Develops a broad knowledge of games and casino rules, procedures and administration
- Maintains knowledge of cheating methods and other related activities
- Prepares Activity reports, Incidents Reports and Surveillance Special Reports as required
- Safeguards all confidential information and maintains department integrity
- Reports any personal circumstances that may pose a conflict of interest or hamper creditability of the Surveillance department
- Conducts initial investigations, gathers evidence and complies with relevant legal requirements
- Responsible for the installation, testing and maintenance of surveillance CCTV equipment for Prairie Band Casino & Resort according to Kansas Gaming regulations and Department specifications
- Makes required adjustments or repairs to equipment as assigned to maintain maximum efficiency
- Maintains CCTV inventory and assists in the ordering of parts as needed
- Observes all safety regulations in the performance of assigned duties and reports any safety hazards to the Director
- Remains current regarding technological changes in equipment and makes recommendations for upgrades, changes and new equipment
- Assists the Surveillance Technician with duties as assigned
- Adheres to regulatory, departmental, and company policies and encourages others to do the same
- Must project professionalism, and a consistently friendly demeanor
- Performs additional duties as required
Required
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Significant demonstrated knowledge of CCTV equipment systems, proficiency in the use of tools of the trade including hand power and machine equipment, testing devices and instruments, as applicable
- Must be able to safely operate equipment, including but not limited to:
Skyjack, cherry picker, etc. - Professional appearance as outlined in the Prairie Band Casino & Resort Team Member Handbook
- Must be able to work both independently and as a member of a team
- Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends, holidays and overtime as needed
- Complies with Tribal State Gaming Compact rules and approved system of Internal Controls
- Strong math proficiency and writing skills
- At least one year experience with Microsoft Office products
- A record of satisfactory performance and reliability in all prior and current employment
Preferred
- Familiarity with camera equipment and methods of operation and recording
- Experience in loss prevention
- Experience in conducting investigations
