You will conduct nutritional assessments, provide ongoing follow-up, and offer professional guidance to Food Services teams to support resident health, wellness, and quality of life. This role will play a meaningful part in supporting every one of our care communities throughout Kelowna About The Role As the Dietician, you are responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating individualized nutrition care plans that align with residents’ needs, preferences, and clinical requirements.

You provide expert consultation on nutrition-related matters, support menu planning, and ensure compliance with regulatory and professional standards. You contribute to quality improvement initiatives, support person-centered care, and act as a role model for Baptist Housing’s Wellness Model.

You maintain confidentiality, participate in interdisciplinary meetings and education, and foster positive relationships with residents, team members, and community partners.

You also uphold health and safety standards by identifying risks and ensuring compliance with infection prevention and control practices. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments and provide ongoing monitoring and follow-up. Develop and evaluate nutrition care plans that support resident health and well-being. Provide professional guidance and consultation to Food Services teams. Support menu planning and ensure nutritional standards are met.

Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, policies, and best practices. Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to nutrition and wellness. Maintain accurate documentation and resident confidentiality. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support person-centered care. Promote health and safety through adherence to infection prevention and control policies. Requirements Education & Certification Degree in Dietetics or Nutrition and completion of an approved Dietetic Internship.

Registered Dietician with a practicing membership in the College of Dieticians of BC. “Restricted Activity A” certification. Membership with Dietitians of Canada (preferred). Experience Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a residential care environment. About You You are compassionate, approachable, and attentive, creating an atmosphere of trust and comfort for residents.

You listen carefully and respond with empathy, ensuring residents feel heard and supported.

Your strong foundation in dietetics and nutrition allows you to translate complex information into practical, meaningful guidance. You are organized, adaptable, and collaborative, balancing clinical excellence with genuine relationship-building.

Compensation & Benefits Compensation ranges from $40.75 – $50.87 per hour, in accordance with the HSPA wage scale.
