Family Navigator

Position: Full Time Family Navigator
Empower families at CMHA Kelowna as a full time Family Navigator. You will offer crucial support for caregivers dealing with mental health and substance use challenges through facilitated guidance and workshops.

In this essential role, you will work directly with parents and families, conducting assessments and connecting them to vital community resources. Your focus will be on building skills and fostering connections that enable effective caregiving. Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team, you will advocate for participants, ensuring they access necessary services seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities:

• Meet with families to provide support and guidance

• Conduct caregiver assessments and set actionable goals

• Identify and recommend community resources

• Advocate for participants in navigating services

• Maintain accurate records and documentation

Requirements:

• Diploma in Community, Social or Human Services

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience

• Valid Class 5 BC driver’s license

• Strong communication skills with diverse families

• Proficient in Microsoft Office and case management systems

Utilize strong problem-solving skills and community knowledge to support families navigating mental health and substance use complexities.
