CAD Project Designer

(Project Designer):
Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is seeking a Project Designer responsible for coordinating activities between customers and Regional Sales Territory Managers to support equipment layout design, installation planning, and project execution. This role requires strong AutoCAD design capabilities, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to collaborate effectively with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

• Create equipment layouts using AutoCAD software (2D and 3D).
• Calculate equipment utility requirements and prepare mechanical schedules using Microsoft Excel.
• Produce installation drawings including locating plans, mechanical details, and electrical requirements for customers and sales teams.
• Respond to pre-sale and post-sale requests for information using Microsoft Outlook and other communication tools.
• Consult with vendors to optimize plant and equipment layouts.
• Collaborate efficiently with equipment vendors and project stakeholders throughout project execution.
• Communicate with customers regarding project issues, updates, and potential solutions.
• Travel as needed to take field measurements, attend job site meetings, and participate in equipment installations.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure project deliverables meet company and customer standards.

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related Applications Engineering field.
• Experience with mechanical drawing and design work.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and 3D design software.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to explain and articulate mechanical concepts clearly.
• Ability and willingness to travel throughout assigned territories as needed.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Strong customer service and relationship management abilities.
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers, vendors, and team members.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Ability to travel frequently and visit active job sites as required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and take measurements on job sites for extended periods.
• Must maintain awareness of surroundings and safety procedures while working in industrial environments.
• Ability to lift and carry light equipment, drawings, and project materials as needed.
• Ability to work in both office and field environments.
