Who are we looking for?Passionate, self‑motivated team players who help clients succeed. You will drive client needs, build internal solutions, and grow opportunities for the firm’s municipal practice.
Travel & LocationTravel: up to 20%. Candidate
Location:
New England and Mid‑Atlantic Region.
- Grow municipal practice with sales goals ranging from $500K to $3M.
- Grow client accounts and sell the full suite of services.
- Provide consultation to clients and project staff.
- Prepare written proposals, presentations, and budget quotes.
- Negotiate terms of service delivery.
- Maintain account relationships to create revenue growth.
- Coordinate with Marketing to develop offerings and positioning pieces.
- Attend and participate in sales meetings.
- Ensure invoicing is completed and collect overdue receivables.
- Open external doors for senior and technical staff.
- Identify opportunities early to enable teams to position for work.
- Attend conferences and workshops to strengthen relationships and spot emerging technologies.
- Coach and develop junior members of the account management team.
- Minimum of 10 years selling engineering services to the public sector, especially water and wastewater.
- Bachelor’s degree in environmental or civil engineering or related field (preferred).
- Experience in business development, bid, and proposal efforts.
- Strong desire to grow an organization and motivate others.
- Deep understanding of the consulting business development cycle.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to travel within New England or Mid‑Atlantic US.
- Open to remote work locations. Municipal sales experience in New England or Mid‑Atlantic preferred.
$170,000 – $240,000 a year (regional differentials: Portland, ME $170,000–195,000; Andover, MA $180,000–230,000; Rye Brook, NY $210,000–240,000).
