Overview
SOUTH BAY SAND BLASTING & TANK CLEANING, INC. located in Kent, WA is a shipyard-related subcontractor looking to hire an Office Coordinator.
The Office Coordinator will provide administrative and clerical support to directors, supervisors, and office staff. The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills.
Responsibilities- Manage incoming phone calls, greet visitors, and provide general office support.
- Process, scan, organize, and maintain contracts, correspondence, and company records.
- Draft and distribute emails, memos, reports, and other administrative documents.
- Assist with preparation and tracking of regularly scheduled reports and operational updates.
- Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
- Monitor deadlines, action items, and administrative requirements to ensure timely completion.
- Coordinate meetings, interviews, schedules, and office communications.
- Support office staff, management, and field supervisors with administrative and clerical tasks.
- Assist with tracking equipment records, vehicle documentation, material requests, and operational logs.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion.
- Support multiple projects and shift priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist with office supply management, vendor coordination, and general administrative support functions.
- Support special projects and additional administrative tasks as assigned.
- Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant, Office Coordinator, or similar administrative role.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Bilingual – Spanish and English
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt in a fast-paced operational environment.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to handle confidential information.
- Familiarity with office equipment and administrative procedures.
- Minimum of 2 years of administrative or office support experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED, B.A., Technical/Vocational trade school, or apprenticeship
- College degree preferred
