Custodian Supervisor

Location: Eddyville

Immediate Supervisor:
Superintendent

Job Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent

Specific Duties :
1. Assist superintendent with interviews, screenings, and recommendations of employment of district custodians.
2. Provide in-service meetings and training opportunities for custodial personnel.
3. Supervise day-to-day operations of school cleaning.
4. Assist other custodians as needed.
5. Order and maintain cleaning supplies.
6. Work with teachers and principals in maintaining the cleanliness of the schools.
7. Plan daily requirements for cleaning each school.
8. Monitor attendance of custodians and schedule substitutes as needed.
9. Monitor each custodian to ensure no abuse of leave time.
10. Ensure that all custodians work the allotted contract days.
11. Prepare and oversee work schedule for summer months.
12. Provide procedures on operating equipment.
13. Work with school district and administrators in maintaining board policies of school facilities.
14. Establish procedures for providing and maintaining records and accounts for audits.
15. Implement state requirements concerning chemicals and other hazardous materials.
16. Prepare time sheets bi-monthly.
17. Prepare for various school functions.
18. Provide specific storage needs of equipment and chemicals.
19. Establish inventory procedures according to local, district, and state agencies.
20. Work with local and state health officials to implement and maintain high standards of sanitation and safety in all schools.
21. Serve as a consultant to administrators, teachers, and school staff of cleaning and maintaining school facilities.
22. Perform other duties assigned by the superintendent.
