Chase Resourcing are delighted to announce we are recruiting for a Clinical Manager for our client in the Munster Region.

We are looking for a CNM2  for this Management role.

The Clinical Manager will plan, organize and supervise nursing activities.

Main Accountabilities
Management
 Lead out the management of clinical services in a progressive, dynamic and lean environment.
 Consolidate and support the leadership of the clinical management group to include CIT Services Manager, Triage Nurse staff and all Clinical Service staff.
 Design, develop and implement policies and procedures reflecting best practice to support service delivery.
 Lead out, provide instruction and guidance in clinical training and development.
 Liaise with Senior clinicians to support the clinical functions of the service.
 Encourage a culture of openness and participation through effective communication.
 Meeting strict deadlines and KPIs as set out by the General Manager.
 Participate in the setting of budgets, ensuring that agreed budgets are managed effectively and provide monthly reports to the General Manager.
 Proactive engagement with locums and locum agencies.
 Provide leadership in all aspects of corporate/clinical governance to involve risk, FMD, drugs and therapeutics.

Staffing
 Work closely with HR Manager and Department Managers to develop competencies for all staff.
 Participate and supervise staff development in accordance with their needs, within budget constraints to meet the changing needs of the patients.
 Support the continuous professional development of all staff by developing ongoing training as per best practice protocols and guidelines.
 Have responsibility for evidence-based practice through audit, clinical supervision, complaints and investigations of incidents and near misses, in line with the Clinical Governance agenda.
 Encourage staff to develop responsibilities for agreed areas of clinical / non-clinical practice, developing links with other Agencies to enhance expertise.
 Responsible for operational running and co-ordination of training, development and education of all staff.
 Support in developing and delivering training programmes to meet internal and external needs.

Professional
 Oversee the ordering of stock, being responsible for the budget and to take responsibility for safe custody and administration of drugs and ensure that all errors are reported and investigated without delay.
 Communicate and develop clinical guidelines and recommendations in cooperation with the CIT Clinical Development Specialist and Medical Directors.
 Exercise leadership in programme design and development of key components of Clinical Governance, FMD legislation, Drugs and Therapeutics Committee.
 Oversee pharmaceutical supply chain management, inventory levels, and service usage.
 Lead out the Drugs and Therapeutics Committee with the goals to assure the provision of safe, effective medication treatment within the available resources shared by the leadership of the
three key disciplines – Medical, Nursing and Pharmacy.
 Maintain records and manage data in accordance with the mandatory legal requirements, ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times.
 Develop services and new models of clinical practice necessary to support the improvement of the service.
 Responsible for maintaining own professional development and update, attending courses and study days as deemed necessary.
 Ensuring that regular audit of quality is in place to allow managerial action to identify gaps in systems and take remedial action when quality expectations are not met.
 Support the General Manager in developing the vision for the organisation.
 Participate at a national level with key stakeholders.
 Act as mentor to all within the service.
 Lead the selection, coaching and mentoring of a successor to the Clinical Manager role.
 Maintain professional standards in relation to confidentiality, ethics and legislation.
Position Requirements
Bachelor, 5 to 6 Years work experience
The post holder for the Clinical Manager role will have:
 A professional qualification e.g. RGN, Masters Business qualification
 A minimum of 5 years post registration experience including 2 years in practice / community nursing CNM2 Level.
 Relevant professional managerial work experience with a minimum of 3 years at middle management or above
 Experience of clinical governance
 Instructor level in a range of specific areas for key training of nurses
 Leading quality standards and audits of processes, standards in place
 A flexible approach to attendance on duty
 Intermediate level computer skills
 Ability to travel as required and nationally when required
